The motion passed by unanimous vote. If. OLD BUSINESS A. Monthly Activity Report — Mr. Loy presented an Airport Usage Report for June. Mr. Loy stated that boardings are down 17% to date for the year. Traffic count continues to be down across the board due to reduced tower hours. B. Cape Aviation Report — Mr. Loy presented a Cape Aviation Fuel Report for June. Fuel sales for the month of June were up. The fuel comparison is based on gallons sold instead of dollar amount, due to the rise of fuel prices. C. American Connection Fourth Round Trip — Mr. Loy stated that the Airport has submitted a request to amend the Grant for an additional twelve months and change the ticket trust to a revenue guarantee. The Department of Transportation has agreed verbally, but we are waiting for an official approval. Mr. Loy explained the history of the grant to new Board Member, Robin Cole. He explained that over 200 communities had applied for the grant of $500,000 to be used towards enhancement of small airline service. Only 40 communities were accepted. The grant was originally set up as a ticket trust, where the community would be required to put $100,000 up front for use of the airline. The ticket trust did not work due to the community not imploring the idea of committing their travel money up front. That is when Sabre, our consultant, Mr. Loy, and Mr. Doug Caldwell, President of Corporate Airlines, decided to pursue the revenue guarantee proposal. D. Update on Douglas A-4 Monument — Mr. Loy stated that he has been talking with Mr. John Farquhar. He explained that the National Guard wants to move the A-4 with a Chinook helicopter and sling. Mr. Loy spoke with Mr. Jim Curry at the Navy Museum and Mr. Curry explained that it was the Museum's policy to not allow movement of the leased aircraft by helicopter for liability reasons. After additional conversation, Mr. Curry agreed to allow the National Guard to submit him a proposal, which he could provide to his Director for a final decision. Mr. Loy is working with the National Guard on getting the proposal together. May 11, 2004 Page 1 L. E. Update on Air Festival — Mr. Loy stated that the Air Festival went very well.
