If. OLD BUSINESS
A. Airport Activity Report — Mr. Loy presented an Airport Us ige Report for February 2006. Mr.
Loy noted that passenger enplanements were up 32% from last February and the traffic numbers
had also skyrocketed. The local traffic operations were up considerably, due primary to a new
gyro -copier that is now based here on airport grounds.
B. Cape Aviation Report — Mr. Loy presented a Cape Aviation Fuel Report for February, along
.` with a Fuel Comparison Report by Derrick Irwin. Mr. Loy stated that February was a great month
for fuel with Jet A sales nearly doubling. Mr. Loy stated conversations had started regarding the
engineering for the FBO remodel. The project is being funded by a $300,000, 90/10 State non -
entitlement grant (90 % funded from the state & 10% from the city). Mr. Loy noted that they
were to be having a meeting with CMT on Friday on pre -design. The steps are as followed: I )
engineering; 2) contract; 3) drawings; 4) construction. Also, a self-service fueling system should
be available within the nest 3 months assuming Eastern Aviation Fuels and the airport can reach
an agreement, as expected. The issue of faulty hanger doors with the Air Evac hangars was
addressed. The doors are not very stable, especially during high winds.
C. 4" Round Trip Update — Mr. Loy stated that the 4" flight has been deplaning more passengers
than before, but as of today March seems to only be up by about 5%. As far as marketing, the
television commercial has taken longer than has been expected, however, Mr. Loy did present
examples for the billboards that have been under production. A recommendation was made to
have one of the billboards mention the $65 fare.
A motion was made by Mr. Waltz that Mr. Loy send a written request to Doug Caldwell,
President of RegionsAir, for information pertaining to the issues of fares and airline marketing for
the CGI flights and request a response back in written form. Mr. Schmucker seconded the motion.
Mr. Caldwell has given us tickets (net worth $3,000) in accordance to marketing our 4"i flight.
The Board was in agreement that more pressure needs to be applied to the airline and, perhaps,
more tickets should be given.
