Cape Aviation Conference
Members Present: Justin Albright, Craig Bohnsack. Robert Cork, Brad Golden, Paul Mingus,

Others Present: Bruce Loy, Airport Manager: Derrick Irwin, Cape Aviation Supervisor;
Katrina Amos, Administrative Coordinator
1. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING:
The meeting was called to order at 5:10pm. Minutes were not available for the Fcbnur
meeting but will be available for approval at the nest meeting.

A. None
111. OLD BUSINESS
A. Airport Activity Report — Mr. Loy presented the airport usage report for February 2014.
Airline enplanements were down for the month because of several (lights that were
cancelled due to weather.
B. Cape Aviation Report - Mr. Irwin presented the Cape Aviation Fuel Report for Februar}
2014. Fuel sales were down for the month due to the weather. Corporate traffic is
increasing along with the military traffic which Mr. Irvin attributed to having a larger fuel
truck.
C. Project Updates —
• Commander Update - Mr. Loy informed the Board that the City has given Ms.
Borius Mao forty -live (45) days to remote her assets from the former Commander
I lungar before action will be taken to have the items removed.
• T -Hangar Construction Update — Mr. Loy informed the Board that a walk -thin
inspection would take place on March I'_'th, 2014. 1 l noted there has been sonic
discussion as to whether to use concrete or asphalt in certain sections; Mr. Loy
stated that upon discussions with the city manager, the City has agreed to split the
cost of either choice with MoDOT.

Additionally. MODOT has approved Crawford. Murphy. &'I illy. Inc. (CMT) to
oversee the procurement of the front end loader/snow blower for the airport. Mr.
Lop is scheduled to discuss this and other airport projects with MoDO I and CM
at an upcoming mecting in .lefferson City, MO.
IV. NEW BUSINESS
A. Discussion Regarding the Revival of the 2014 Air Festival — Mr. Loy in lbnncd
the Board that he was contac led by the Canadian Forces Snowbirds and tlwv hate
decided to re -c otnm it to their 2014 U.S. air show dates. They asked Mr. Loy if he
was willing to go forward with the show even though it had been cancelled. Based
on feedback from city management, performers, sponsors, and volunteers. it was
decided to revive the air show on the originally scheduled weekend of May I7-18.
I Ie pro ided an update as to what he and airport staff have accomplished in
regards to planning. lie noted there will be several volunteer meetings held soon.
Discussion continued on the subject.
