Members Present: Justin Albright, Craig Bohnsack. Robert Cork, Brad Golden, Paul Mincus,
Jason'licke, Bill'I'ucker
Others Present: Bruce Loy, Airport Manager; Derrick Irwin. Cape Aviation Supervisor;
1. MIN ETES OF PREVIOUS MEETING:
the meeting was called to order at 1203pm. This is a special meeting regarding the air festival:
therefore, minutes will not be approved.

III. NEW BUSINESS
A. Discussion Regarding the Cancellation of the 2014 Air Festival - the meeting was called to
order at 12:01 pill. Mr. Loy summarized the situation regarding the planning for the 2014 Cape
Girardeau Regional Air Festival. scheduled for May 17-18. Ile advised the Board that he had
received several email, fivnt the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, suggesting that the schedule Ior
It. the 2014 season had not been confamed yet and they had recommended shows to not spend
money until they had heard from the Snowbirds regarding an actual confirmation of their 2014
season schedule. Mr. Lo} explained that on January 31, 2011, he received an email from Major
Trevor Jub\, stating that the Canadian Forces Snotcbirds were canceling all of their FI.S, show
appearmces for the 2014 season.
Nil. Loy eXplained that the Air Festival had only made financial commitments in the way of
deposits to Matt Younkin and Indy Bops (Paul Slender), for a total of $6,_'71.13. Mr. Loy noted
that he was in favor of canceling the show due to the Snowbirds' cancellation, primarilti because
they were the headliner and the main reason for even doing back to back shows in 21113 and
2014. Additionally, all markeling was focused on the performance of the Snowbirds.
Discussion continued on the subject and the Board voted unanimously to cancel the 2014 Air
Festival.
