Fred Waltz Kevin McMeel Dan Overhey Gayle Conrad Bill Walker Steve Nesler The meeting was called to order at 4:05 p.m. by Chairman McClanahan. Bill Walker made a motion, seconded by Steve Nesler, that the minutes of the July 7 meeting be approved as mailed. The Board unanimously approved. Mark Seesing and Kevin McMeel explained and reviewed the AIP Grant Status Report with the Board (see attached). The $184,789 of entitlement funds must be under grant by October 1, 1993. The water system improvements at the Airport will be included in the Master Plan which will be issued in December. 1992. Mark stated that the enplanement figures are approximately 200 ahead of last year at this time. In addition, the FAA did not include enplanements for Cape Central Airways for 1991, and he is forwarding a letter to the FAA stating the number of enplanemems for that year. Mark updated the board on the terminal building renovation project. Scheme] is currently pouring footings; however, there are some new issues regarding the DBE program. Schemel has not supplied a current list of DBEs that he is using for the project but has indicated he is trying to contract with an Illinois firm and is attempting to get Schemel Asbestos certified. If the Illinois firm is accepted as a DBE, the goal of 10.7 percent could be met The City received a letter from Doug Johnson indicating that the FAA may not pay its share if the goal is not met, and if the issue is not resolved it could jeopardize any future entitlement funds. City Attorney Warren Wells put Schemel on notice that they are working at their own risk and may not be paid for the work if the DBE goal is not met. J. Fred Waltz questioned how the $275,000 remaining in the 04 grant can be spent. Mark explained it includes upgrading signage on the airfield, painting runway 10/28 and painting taxiways and hold lines. The entrance road is included in this grant, and Crawford, Murphy and Tilley is preparing the preliminary plans for the project. The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 8, 1992. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 5:05 p.m. Respectfully submitted, ,da'p Lw Gayle Conrad
