Dear Mr. Mayor
I am writing you on behalf of the Airport Advisory Board.
In May 1991, you And the City Council will be appointing Iwn
positions to this Board as the one year terms of bill Walker And
Alan Maki expire April 30th. Both of these men have vast amounts
of knowledge and are high quality individuals. They have given
insights to discussions that would not have come to light had
t hey not been Board members. They are great supporters of Clip
Airport and are assets to this Board.
I urge you and the City Council to reappoint them)
Respectfully submitted.
,Jerry W. McClanahan
Chairman, Airport Advisory Board

MEMORANDUM
TO: Airport Advisory Board
FROM: Mark J. Seesing, Airport Manager
DATE: March 29, 1991
SUBJECT: 1991 Airshow
Planning for the 1991 Fly Cape Airshow is in full swing. The
airshow committee has met and several members from last year's
committee have volunteered to serve again this year.
We are planning to build this year's show around the
Confederate Air Force. Public interest in these vintage warbirds
seem to be our largest draw. Currently we are waiting for
information from the headquarters of the CAF for such aircraft as
the B-29, B-24, B-17 and any other aircraft they may have available
for the show. This information has not come in yet, but we hope to
get it so we can set about obtaining corporate sponsorships.
Other performers that have supplied information for their
participation are:
Tore Tore Tora Group - eight aircraft that perform a realistic
Pearl Harbor type raid.
Mo. Wing CAF - B-25, T-6, L3N.
Bobby Younkin will perform aerial demonstrations in his B-18
and T-6.
This lineup is by no means set in stone and is subject to
change. I realize this is a rather ambitious show lineup. One
thing to keep in mind is the public impact that can be derived from
all the advertisement and hype associated with a show like this.
In an effort to keep people interested in what is going on at the
airport, we will need to continue to supply them with attractions
to get them to the airport and then educate them on the facilities
available to them.
