Seesing Alan Maki Steve Nesler Guests: Staff: Douglas K. Leslie Mark J. Seesing Gayle Conrad Tom Holshouser, Holshouser & Associates Sherry Wood Jay Eastlick Jay Rhinehart Fred Keller The meeting was called to order at 4:30 p.m. by Chairman McClanahan. J.T. Seesing moved, seconded by Steve Nesler, that the minutes of the February 5, 1991, meeting be approved as mailed. The Board unanimously approved. Tom Holshouser of Holshouser and Associates reviewed with the Board the preliminary specifications and cost estimate for the renovation of the terminal building. He indicated that after the Board approved the plans, the City Council and FAA would have to approve them. It would then be 60 to 90 days before it is ready to be put out for bid, the bid would be open for three weeks, the City Council would have to approve the bid, and then contracts would have to be signed. Alan Maki moved, seconded by J.T. Seesing, that the Board recommend the floor plan as prepared by Holshouser and Associates and then proceed with the next step. The Board unanimously approved. Mark Seesing reviewed the Airport Usage Report with the Board. Figures are down quite a bit from last year due to the weather and due to the war in the Persian Gulf. He indicated that the crisis is causing a decrease in all air traffic and not just in Cape Girardeau. The Board may need to look at the fact that it is very possible that the airport will not meet its 10,000 enplanement quota for the year. On motion by Chairman McClanahan with no objections, the Board then went into closed session to discuss leasing of real estate and personnel issues. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:05 p.m.
