SPECIAL SESSION - AUGUST 15, 1990
n Council convened in a special joint session with members of the Cape Girardeau Muncipal
Airport Board on Wednesday, August 15, 1990, at Noon p.m. with Mayor Francis E. Rhodes
presiding and Council members David Barklage, Doug Richards, Hugh White, and Mary Wulfers
present. Council members David Limbaugh and Al Spradling III were absent.
Members of the Airport Board who were present were James Bowman, Truman Cole, Jerry
McClanahan, J.T. Seesing, and William Walker. Members of the Airport Board who were
absent were Paul Brinkopf and Allan Maki, Jr. City staff members who were present were
Ron Fischer, City Manager; Al Stoverink, Assistant City Manager; Doug Leslie, Public
Works Director; Mark Seesing, Airport Manager; and Julie Dale, Deputy City Clerk.
Mr. Thomas Holshouser of Holshouser and Associates made a presentation to the group
regarding airport terminal renovations versus the construction of a new terminal. After
discussion, the City Council instructed members of the Airport Board to study the
alternatives and make a recommendation.
IIThere being no further business, the Council adjourned.
