Seesing Doug Leslie Alan Maki Mark Seesing Jim Bowman, Secy. GUESTS: Tom Holshouser, Holshouser and Associates The meeting was called to order at 4:07 PM by Vice Chairman Brinkopf. At the request of Paul Brinkopf, Jim Bowman read the minutes of the meeting of July 11, 1990. It was pointed out by Al Stoverink that the airport improvements mentioned in these minutes should have been quoted at $1.2 M, not $1.8 as shown in the minutes. Otherwise, the minutes were approved as read. ` Taul Brinkopf recalled that Harold Belzer had recommended at our special meeting at the airport that we recommend to the Council that the FAA grant be accepted. J.T. Seesing moved, seconded by Jim Bowman, that we make this recommendation. The motion was unanimously approved by the board. Tom Holshouser presented bound copies of his "Feasibility Study for the Airport Terminal Building". This report showed a proposed new terminal site plan and plans for a renovated terminal building, both of which had been discussed at previous board meetings. Al Stoverink indicated that planning was underway for a meeting of city staff with the FAA, possibly as early as next week, to explain our plans in detail and get their reaction. After this, a joint meeting of the airport board and city council would be held wherein we could present our plans to the council, answer questions, and consider revisions if appropriate. No objections to this plan were expressed. PAGE 2. Airport Board Meeting *ob Niederkorn of Scott City, who leases some of the airport land for farming, reported that something needed to be done about the drainage ditches since they would not drain and some crops were under water. Doug Leslie indicated that city crews would be working on the ditches within a month which would solve some of the problem. Solving the total problem he said would depend on a study costing $100,000.00 and scheduled to be completed in 1993 as part of the master plan. Board members indicated their support for getting the drainage problems solved. There being no further business, it was moved by J.T. Seesing and seconded by Jim Bowman that the meeting be adjourned. The motion was approved unanimously by the Board at 5:45 PM. - Respectfully submitted, Jim Bowman Secetary
