SPECIAL SESSION—OCTOBER 16,2006
The Cape Girardeau City Council convened in special joint session with the Cape Girardeau Airport
Advisory Board on Monday, October 16, 2006, at 5:30 p.m., at the Cape Girardeau Regional
Airport. Mayor Pro-Tem Marcia Ritter and Airport Board Chairman Bill Keene presided. Cape
Girardeau City Council Members present were Charlie Herbst, Loretta Schneider, Debra Tracy and
John Voss. Airport Board members present were J. Fred Waltz, Walt Wildman, Rick Hetzel, Tina
Plaskie,Bill Dunn, Kee Park, Rob Rollins and Bo Shantz.
Airport Manager Bruce Loy presented an update on the following current projects:
1. Fourth Round-Trip
2. Fuel Ram Ramp and Tie-Down Rehab
3. General Aviation Terminal (Cape Aviation)Rehab
4. Cohen Trust Environmental Study
5. Airfield Signage Replacement
6. A-4 Jet Memorial
In addition, Mr. Loy updated the Board and Council on future projects:
1. Corporate Hangars
2. T-Hangars
3. Mid-States Hangar Rehab or Replacement
4. G.A. Ramp Rehabilitation
5. Runway Extension
6. Updated Security System
7. Airfield Perimeter Fencing
There being no further business, the Cape Girardeau City Council adjourned.
Following the meeting,the Council and Board went on a tour of the Commander Premier facility.
