Ms. Sylvia Edgar appeared in support of the ordinance establishing a stop sign on Kurre Lane and
presented a written statement with signatures of the neighbors supporting the stop sign. She
reviewed the history of accidents at this location and discussed the petition that was submitted
approximately 15 months ago requesting the stop sign.
Ms. Cassidy Jones, 1606 Kurre Lane, appeared and expressed her appreciation for the city
installing the speed limit signs and policing the traffic in the area. However, the people can see the
police cars with radar from a distance and this slows down the cars. There have been several
accidents where cars ended up in her front yard, and she can't allow her son to play in the yard.
The police department has been very helpful, but now a stop sign needs to be installed.
Mr. Ed Proffer of 1601 Kurre Lane appeared to support putting in a stop sign.
