SPECIAL SESSION—APRIL 7,2005
The Cape Girardeau City Council convened in special session on Thursday, April 7, 2005, at 6:00
p.m. with Mayor Jay B. Knudtson presiding and Council Members Evelyn Boardman, Charles
Herbst, Matthew Hopkins and Marcia Ritter present.
Mayor Knudtson stated that the April 5, 2005, municipal election results had been received from
County Clerk Rodney Miller. Pursuant to Section 7.09(a) of the City Charter, the City Council
canvassed the returns and declared the results of the April 5, 2005, general election, upon Mr.
Herbst's motion, Ms. Boardman's second, and the following vote: Ayes, Boardman, Herbst,
Hopkins,Knudtson, Ritter. Nays,none. The results of the election were as follows:

City Council Member Ward 4
Loretta Schneider 358

Mayor Knudtson welcomed Loretta Schneider and Debra Tracy to the Council.
There being no further business, the Council adjourned upon Mr. Hopkins' motion, Ms. Ritter's
second, and the following vote: Ayes,Boardman,Herbst, Hopkins, Knudtson, Ritter. Nays,none.
Following the meeting, Mrs. Tracy and Mrs. Schneider were given the oath of office by the City
Clerk.
