AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARIES OF
WARD 2 TO INCLUDE PROPERTY NEWLY ANNEXED
INTO THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1. The boundary of "Ward 2" is hereby amended by
adding the legal description of the following property newly
annexed into the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri:
Tract l:
PART OF THE EAST HALF (E 1/2) OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER
(NE 1/4) OF SECTION 34, TOWNSHIP 30 NORTH, RANGE 13
EAST IN SCOTT COUNTY, MISSOURI AND CONTAINING 0.816
ACRE (MORE OR LESS) MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS
FOLLOWS:
COMMENCE at the Northeast corner of the NE 1/4 of said
Section 34 (Found 5/8" Iron Rod) thence, along the
North-South Section Line, S. 00°57'05" E., 1461.67
feet; thence N. 74°48'27" W., 52.09 feet to a 1/2"
Iron Rod on the West Right of Way Line of Little River
Drainage District Ditch Number 1 for the POINT OF
BEGINNING; thence, along the West Right of Way Line of
Little River Drainage District Ditch Number 1, S.
00058'05" E., 138.41 feet to a 1/2" Iron Rod; thence,
leaving said Right of Way Line, N. 68058'40" W.,
328.66 feet to a 1/2" Iron Rod; thence N. 13059'39"
E., 99.58 feet to a 1/2" Iron Rod; thence S. 74°48'27"
E., 290.51 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.

00°58'05" E. for a distance of 120.34 feet to the
beginning of a curve turning to the right through an
angle of 25°01128", having a radius of 374.71
feet for a distance of 163.66 feet and whose
long chord bears S. 11°56127" W.. for a distance
of 162.36 feet to a 1/2" Iron Rod; thence N. 60°
10'03" W., 150.01 feet to a 1/2" Iron Rod; thence N.
14055'03" E., 104.98 feet to a 1/2" Iron Rod; thence
N. 75°56'39" W., 384.06 feet to a 1/2" Iron Rod;
thence N. 15011133" E., 94.56 feet to a 1/2" Iron Rod;
thence S. 80°25'11" E. 489.28 feet to the POINT OF
BEGINNING.
ARTICLE 2. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause,
phrase, or portion of this ordinance is for any reason held
invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent
jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct,
and independent provision, and such holding shall not affect the
validity of the remaining portions hereof.
ARTICLE 3. It is the intention of the governing body and
it is hereby ordained that the provisions of this ordinance
shall become and be made a part of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and the sections of this Code
may be renumbered to accomplish such intention.
ARTICLE 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect ten days after its passage and approval.
