AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING MONIES FOR PAYMENT
OF ADDITIONAL EMPLOYEE COMPENSATION FOR
SERVICES TO BE RENDERED BETWEEN NOW AND THE
END OF THE THIRD QUARTER OF THE FISCAL YEAR
ENDING JUNE 30, 2024, IN THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1. The City Council of the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri, hereby appropriates from the following funds:
General Fund - Three Hundred Seventy-four Thousand Two Hundred
Thirty Dollars ($374,230.00)
Airport Fund - Nineteen Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy Dollars
($19,970.00)
Parks, and Recreation Fund - Twenty Eight Thousand Eight
Hundred Seventy Dollars ($28,870.00)
Health Fund - Six Thousand Twenty Dollars ($6,020.00)
Sewer Fund - Thirty -Nine Thousand Two Hundred Eighty Dollars
($39, 280.00)
Water Fund - Three Thousand Ninety Dollars ($3,090.00)
Solid Waste Fund - Twenty -Six Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty
Dollars ($26,760.00)
Golf Course Fund - Five Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety Dollars
($5,990.00)
Indoor Sports Complex Fund - Seven Thousand Six Hundred Thirty
Dollars ($7,630.00)
Outdoor Sports Complex Fund - Nine Thousand One Hundred Fifty
Dollars ($9,150.00)
Information Technology Fund - Five Thousand Nine Hundred
Dollars ($5,900.00)
Fleet Fund - Sixteen Thousand Five Hundred Ninety Dollars
($16,590.00)
For additional employee compensation for services to be rendered
between now and the end of the third quarter of the fiscal year
ending June 30, 2024.
ARTICLE 2. Pursuant to Section 3.15 (c) of the Charter of the
City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, this measure is adopted as an
emergency measure as an appropriation for the payment of current
expenses of city government, including emergency appropriations as
provided in section 6.08. Specifically, the timely payment of this
compensation requires that the City Council appropriate these funds
immediately. Accordingly, this ordinance will take effect
immediately upon its passage and approval.
