AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR EXPENDITURE FROM
THE CONVENTION AND TOURISM FUND
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved an agreement with the
Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce to operate a convention and
tourism bureau, and
WHEREAS, the Chamber of Commerce has approved the agreement
and is ready to implement the new program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby appropriates from the
Convention and Tourism Fund for expenditure during the fiscal
year ending June 30, 1984 the sum of Eighteen Thousand Seven
Hundred Fifty Dollars ($18, 750. 00) for the purpose of funding the
City' s contract with the Chamber of Commerce for the promotion of
conventions and tourism.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and approval.
