�. Resol�ation Authorizing the Mayor to Execute
a Bond in the Penal Sum of Five Thousand
Dol1_ars to the Uni�ed States of_ America

of America have entered inta an a�reement t�.rhereby the Cit,y of
Ca�e Gir�,.rdeau is to convey to th� United Stat�s of Am�rica cert�:�in
pro�erty for a Federal Bui.lding site in exch��.n;E for property to
be conve,yTed to �he City of C��pe Gir��rdeau by the Federa.l Gove.rn-
meni,; and.
V�1F�IEREAS, on the pro�ert,y to be conve,yed to �ne United State�
by the Cit;;T of C�.ne Gir_ �zrdeau there exists a building kno�rYn as the
City Hal1_ and Comrnon Pleas Court House; �.nd
ti��IHER:�,�"�S, the ter�s of said a�reement provide tha.t the CitY
of Cape Girardeau shall remove s�id. hu�ilding within thirty (30)
davs from the service of written notice ta do so by the United
S+,ates of America; and
V�7hE�LEAS, the United States of America desires a bond, the
condition of tivhich is that the Cit,y of Cape Girardeau shall, ti��rith-
in thirty (30) du,ys after the service of ��rri�Lten notice so to do,
rer�ove said Cit,y H�.11 or Common Pleas Co�zrt Hotise from said proper-
t,y, and that said property shall be cleared of. all encroachments
thereon to the satisfuct;on of the Custodi«n of tn� site to �e
apt�o?iltecl by the United State:� of America, except, no�rrever, as to
the Public Li'�rary bu�.lding now loca�ed on said �r:�mises; and

Ci��� of Cape Gir�::rcleau, �gi�souri, as Principal.

is hereb�T given th� au�thority to secure a satisfact�r,y suret,y
for. s�ic� bond..
