A Resolution designating the City Engineer
as the duly authorized city offic3.al to
transact such business as may be necessary
ti��ith the United States Government, and
particularly the 0�'fice of Production
Management.
V�IHE�EAS, a state of national emergency exists in the United
States of America, and
11�H�R�'AS, the United States of America has created the Office
of Production Management, which Office regulates the purehase and
sale of numerous commodities, and
V��HE;�EAS, it is necessary in the successful operation of the
City of Cape Girardeau, IVli�souri to purchase and secure many of
the commodities controlled by the Office of Production Management,
and
V►)�i�RF;AS, it may become necessary from time to time to secure
the cons�nt and approval and to secure priorit,y ratings from the
Office of Production Mana.gement,
N0�1, THEREFQRE, BE I`.I' RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUiVCIL OF THE
CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, �IIS�d�I, That John R. V'Valther, the duly
appointed and qualifi+ed City �n�ineer o_f the City of Cape Girardeau,
Misouri, is h�reby designated as the duly au�horized City Official
to transact such business for. the Cit,y of Cape Girardeau as may
from tim� to time be necessary with the United States Goverrunent,
and particularly with the Offic� of Production Manage�nent, in the
securing of priority ratings and the purchase for said City of
commodities controlled by the said Office of Production Management.
