CHURCH TO ESTABLISH A CHURCH AT PART OF LOT SIX (6) IN BLOCK
ONE (1) OF HUNZE' S SUBDIVI5ION

WHEREAS, Antioch Baptist Church has requested a special
use permit to establish a church in Cape Girardeau, Missouri,
for a part of Lot Six (6) in Block One (l) of Hunze' s Sub-
division, and
WHEREA5, this request for a special use permit was
referred to the City Planning and Zoning Commission and the
City Engineer who filed a report with the Council approving
the request and the City Planning and Zoning Commission held
a hearing concerning the request in accordance with the
prov.isions pertaining to special use regulations as required
by the Code of Ordinances of the City of Cape Girardeau and
determined that the proposed special use urould not conflict
�tith the comprehensive plan or with the general welfare of the
community and the Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended
that the special use permit be granted.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
5ECTION l. That the granting of the special use permit
will not substantially increase traffic hazards, congestion,
fire hazard or adversely affect the character of the neighborhood,
the general welfare of the community nor will it overtax public
utilities or be in conflict with the comprehensive plan.
5ECTION 2. A special use permit for the establishment
of a church in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, on the following
described property:
Part of Lot Six (6) in Block One (l) of Hunze' s
Subdivision of a part of the North�rest Quarter and part
of the Northeast Fractional Quarter of Fractional
Section 35, Township 31 North, Range l3 East, described
as follows:
Begin at the Northeast Corner of said Lot Six (6) ,
Block One (1) of said Subdivision; thence 5outh 86°
58' West, 275. 4 feet to a point in the North line of

said Lot 6; thence South 9° East, ,245 feet, more or
less to the North line of Hopper Road as no�i�z located;
thence in an Easterly direction with the north line of
Hopper Road, to a point 159 .2 feet 5outh 78° 31'
West of the southeast corner of said Lot 6; thence
continue east along the north line of Hopper Road
159 . 2 feet to the southeast corner of Lot 6; thence
North 9° Tniest, along the West line of Hunze Drive
245. 2 feet to the place of beginning.
is hereby granted to Antioch Baptist Church to be effective
from the date of this resolution subject to the condition
that the Antioch Baptist Church replace tY�.e bridge crossing
the North ditch along Hopper Road and that they purchase tvao (2)
forty-eight (48} inch diameter culverts thirty-six (36) feet
long �rhich are to be used to carry the Hrater in the ditch
which flows along Hopper Road. These are to be placed by the
City of Cape Girardeau in the right-of-way of Hunze Drive so
as to provide a standard street return from Hunze Drive to
Hopper Road. The proposed special use must comply with all
other regulations set forth in the Zoning Code for the district
in �rh.ich the use is located and all other applicabTe Ordinances
of the City of Cape Girardeau.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect ten (10� days after its passage.
