RESOLUTION GRANTING SPECIA.L USE FOR SEASONAZ,
AMUSEMENT DEVELOPMENT TO JOE HA.LE AND GEORGE 5EMONIS
WHEREAS, Joe Hale and George Semonis have requested that a
special use be granted them to operate an amusement develop n.ent for
eeaeonal. periods for certain property described hereinafter, and
WHEREAS, the matter was referred to the City Planning Commission
and the City Engineer and the City Engineer has filed a report with the
C uncil and the City Planning Commission has held a hearing co3 cerning
the request in accordance with the provisions appertaining to special use
regulations as zoning is affected in the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Cape Girardeau, and the City Planning Commission has recommended that
sa id special use be granted, and
WHEREAS, the Council has determined that such special use application
should be granted, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE
GIR,ARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOW5:
SEC TION 1, A special use for amusement development for seasonal
periods, beginning March lst of each year and ending November 30th of each
year is hereby granted to Joe Hale and George Semonis for the real estate
located in the City and County of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, described more
fully as follows:
Part of the East Half of the Northwest Quarter of Seetion 26,
Township 31 North, Range 13 East of the Fifth Principal
Meridian, in the County of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, described
as follows:
Commence at the northweat corner of said northeast quarter of
the northwest quarter of Section 26; thence South 89° 45' East
along the north line of said 5ection, 802. 5 feet for a place of
beginning; thence continue South 89° 45' East along the North line,
312. 50 feet; thence South 0° 30' West, parallel to the west line of
said Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 26,

Mr, and Mrs. Joe Hale, as seller, and George Sernonis,
as purchaser, request the council to grant them a special use of
i:::cpe:1:ty, the legal description for which is attached hereto, in
2ccordance with the provisions of Section 19. 3 (7) of the Zoning
Regulations of the City,
The proposal is to use the area for an amusement develop-
. i-x1e:nt for the seasonal period of March 1st through the end of·
November of each calendar year. The development will contain
a. nine lane n1agic carpet slide and associated accessory structures
and uses incidental to the development ..
Plat of the area is also enclosed.
We would appreciate your referring the application to the City
Engineer and to the City Planning Commission to investigate this request.
