A RESOLUTION SELECTING THE ORDER OF - -
PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT5 OF THE URBAN HIGHW�AY �
SYSTEM FOR THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO.
WHEREAS, The Missouri State Highway Department, in cooperation
with the Department of Comrrierce, Bur�au of Public Roads and the City of
Cape Gira.rdeau, in 1963 prepared a report on an urban system of high-
wa.ys for the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; �nd
WHEREAS, Said report was adopted �s an urban �ystem highwa�r
pl�,n for the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; and,
WHEREAS, 5aid plan contai.ned various proposed improvements; and,
WHEREAS, Resolution was adopted by the Council of the City of
Cape Girardeau, November 2, 1964, �electing the order of the proposed
improvements of the urban highway system from the City of Cape Girardeau,
and it is now determined that the order of priority of the proposed improve-
ments should be modified,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Council of the City
of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, as follows:
The improvement of Route "K" from interstate Route 55 to Route 61
is hereby designated as the first improvement to be undertaken. The im-
provement of Broadway Street a.nd Bellevue Street from Route 61 to Frederick
Street is selected as the second improvement to be underta.ken. The improve-
ment of Willi�m Street from Route 61 to Frederick Stre�t a.nd the improve-
ment of Morgan Oak Street from Frederick Street to Lorimier Street and
the necessary connection between Willi�m Street and Morgan Oak 5treet is

selected as the third improvement to be undert�.ken.
Passed and approved this 26th day of November, 1966. �
