A RESOLUTION SELECTING THE ORDER OF
PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS OF THE URBAN HIGHWAY -
SYSTEM FOR THE CITY OF GAPE GIRARDEAU, MO.
. ,
WHEREAS, The Misaouri State Highway Department, in cooperation
with the Depa.rtment of Commerce, Bureau of Public Roads and the City of
Cape Girardeau, in 1963 prepared a report on an urban system of high-
ways for the City of Cape Girardeau, Miasouri; and
WHEREAS, said report was adopted as an urban system highwa.y
plan for the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; and
WHEREAS, said plan conta.ined various proposed improvements, and
WHEREAS, resolutian was adopted by the Council of the City of
Cape Girardeau, November 2, 1964, selecting the order of the praposed
improvements of the urban highway system for the City of Cape Girardeau,
and it is now determined that the order of priority of the proposed ixn-
pravements should be modified,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RE50LVED By the Council of the City
of Cape Girardeau, Misso�zri, as follows:
The improvement af Route "K" from interstate Route 55 to Route
61 is hereby designated as the first improvement to be underta.ken. The
iznpravement of William Street from Route 61 to Frederick Street and the
improvement of Morgan Oak Street from Frederick Street to Lorimier
Street and the necessary connection between William Street and Morgan --
Oak 5treet i� selected as the second improvement to,be undertaken. The
improvement of Broadway Street and Bellevue Stree� fram Route 61 to
Frederick Street is selected as the third improvement. to be undertaken,
Passed and approved this 25th day of avember, 66.
