RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION DIREGTING THE MANAGER OF THE CITY
OF GAPE GIRARDEAU TO APPLY FOR UIVITED STATES
GRANT FOR THE COMPLETION OF ADDITIONAL
FACILITIES FOR A SEWAGE SYSTEM, PROJECT NO.
APW-MO-128
WHEREAS, vaters of the City of Cape Girardeau }roted favorably
on a proposition to issue bonds of the City of Cape Girardeau for the pur-
pose of constructing a sanita.ry sewer system for the City of Cape Girardeau,
and the United States Government agreed to and did advance funds to assist
in the cost of construction of said sanitary sewer system, and
WHEREAS, said system has been completed and paid far and is now
in use by the citizens of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and that it is necessary
for the preservation of such system to build and provide two grit stations as
an adjunct to said sanitary sewer system, and tha.t application should be made
to the United Sta.tes, by and through its administrative agencies, for a request
for fed�ral funds to assist in defraying the cost of such grit sta.tions,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, That the Manager of the City of
Cape Girardeau, Missouri, be directed to make application to the United
States, by and through its administrative agencies, for whatever funds as
may be available for the construction of grit stations as an adjunct ta the
sanitary sewer system in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Project No. APW-MO-128,
and that the Mana.ger be directed to execute any and all applications, forms
or other papers as may be required by the United States or its administrative
agencie s for and on beha.lf of such city.
