A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE CAPE GIRARDEAU
PUBLICITY FUND FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACCEPTING
AND DISBURSING CONTRIBUTIONS TO DEFRAY THE
EXPENSES OF THE CAPE CHORALIERS FAOM CAPE
GIRARDEAU TO THE WORLD'S FAIR AT SEATTLE ,
WASHINGTON
WHEREAS � the Cape Choraliers are an organization of Cape
Girardeau citizens who have made contribution to the cultural life
of this community and have brought favorable publicity to the City
of Cape Girardeau by their performances in many places, and
WHEREAS , the said Gape Choraliers have been officially designated
by the Governor of the State of Missouri to represent the State of
Missouri at the World' s Fair at Seattle , Washington, and

WHEREAS , the City of Cape Girardeau will be greatly aided and
be favorably known by reason of the publicity attendant upon the said
performance by the Cape Choraliers at the Worldts Fair at Seattle �
� Washington, and
WHEREAS , it is reported that many citizens desire to contribute
t� a fund to defray the traveling expenses of said Cape Choraliers
from Cape Girardeau , Missouri to the World ' s Fair at Seattle , Washington
for this civic and public purpose , now therefore ,
BE IT RESOLVED that there is hereby created a Cape Girardeau
Pub]icity Fund to which persons may contribute for the purpose of
defraying the expenses of the Cape Choraliers in attending and per—
forming on Mi.�ouri Day, June 11 , 1962, at the World' s Fair at Seattle �
Washington.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby designated
to administer said fund, to accept contributions thereto and to dis—
burse said fund for the purpose above stated.
Passed and approved this 4th day of June , 1962.
