RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF CA� GIRAFi.DEAII MISSOURI, REQIIESTING LEGISLATORE
TO APPR.OF�tIATE FUNDS FOR STATE TRAINING PR.OGR.AM F0� ALL PEACE OFFICERS.
WHEREAS, basic training for peace officers of the State is not presently available
for the great majoritp of newly appointed and elected officers and;
W�5, the Sta,te Hi�hway Patrol has a tr�inir�g facility at Rolla., Missouri and
adequate instractor personnel within that organization and;
WFIEREAS, the Governor of our State ha.s demonstrated his interest by requesting
Legisla.ture to appropriate adequate flands and;
WHEREAS, we beliene such training will materially improve the standarda of law
enforeement in our Stats;
NOW, TF�REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF CAPE GIRARDEbIII, MISSOUxI�
that a request be forwarded to the Legislatvre of the State of Missouri reco�unending
the appropri.a.tion neeessary ta make this training progrsm available to the peace
officers of the State.
