WHEREAS, The Louis K. Juden Post No. 63 oP The American
Legion has designated the evening of March 22, 1954, as an
appropriate time to recognize and honor all veterans in Cape
Girardeau County, Missouri, �ho haee �erved honorably as members
of the armed forces of the United States of America during the
period of' the Korean confliet; and,
WH�EAS, The Cit� of Cape Girardeau is equally indebted
to those persons for the role that they played in the stopping
of Communist aggression in Korea:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the City Council of
the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, hereby declares Monda�,
the 22nd day of March, 1954, as a day of honor for all veterans
of Cape Girardeau County Who ser�ned honorably in the armed Porces
of the IInited States of Ameriea during the Korean eonPlict and
the Council urges all persons to attend the ceremonies of the da�
at Houck Field House at 7:30 p.m. �here special tribute Will be
paid to the�e veterans.
