WHEREAS, Commission Form O�dinance No. /�� passed and
approved the 1$th d ay of May, 1953, authorized the aceeptance of
proposals for eonstruction of storir sew�rs in �oint sewer districts
No. 6C, 61 and 12A, a subdivision of sewer districts No. 6 and 12;
and
WH�REAS, the right was reserved by the City Council to
accept or re�ect any bid within ten days after June 15, 1953,
which was the f inal date for acceptance of proposals; and
WHEREAS, C. A. Hood filed a written proposal and bid
' for the construction of the aforesaid sewers, which bid was
subject to the approval of the plans, specifications and other
proceedingg by his attorneys within ten days from June 15, 1953;

WHEREAS, the attorneys for C. A. 'Hood ;have indic�ted
tha� thert� are a �
pparently several matters which need clarificat3.on
and the time necessary to confer with these attorneys anc� to meet
�easonable requirements, if any, is insufficient and b'oth the
said C. A. Hood and the City Council desire that the time in whic�
,
the City Council may accept or reject the bid shall be extended
for a reasonab�e period; -
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the time in which ths
City Couneil of the Cit9 of Cape Girardeau, Mf;ssouri shall reserve 4
the right to accept or re3ect the bid of C:A. Hood be and the sarne
is hereby ex�ended to July 6, 1953• j -
