A RESOLUTgON AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF SUIT TO
RESTRAIN SALE OF THE CAPE GIRARDE�U BRIDGE TO
ALEXANDER COUNTY, ILLIATOIS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COIINCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRAR.DEAU�
�dISSOURI � AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Council is opposed to the proposed purchase of the
Cape Girardeau Bridge by Alexander County� Illinois� upon the terms and
conditions set forth in certain ordinances recently adopted by the Board
of Commissioners of Alexander County, and that the Council hereby author-
izes and directs •the legal depart�ent of the City to institute such
legal action as may be deemed advisable by the City Attorney to en�oin �
and restrain the sale of said bridge to Alexander County, providing noth-
ing herein shall authorize any action which might involve the City of
Cape Girardeau in liability upon an in�unction bond, or otherwise for
damages.
