SERVICE MOVEMENT HAS MADE IN MARING A FULLER AND RICHER LIFE FOR
MANRIND
WHEREAS, increasing affluence, higher level of education,
urbanization, expanding population, mobility of the population,
modern technology, and decrea�ed wor)�ing hours have been key
social factors leading to increased leisure; and
WHEREAS, the Leisure Services mov�ment has become an important
element within the total spectrwn of community services; and
WHEREAS, Leisure Delivery Systems on the Fed�ral, State, and
Local levels are a positive force in widening man`s experience
and attitudes, which lead to a fuller and richer life for a2.1.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RE50LVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, A5 F�LLOWS:
1. That JUNE be declared as Recreation a d Parks Month.
