WHEREAS, Cap� Garc�ens, a I,imited Partnere�hi�, 7777 Bonhom�ne,
Suite 220�, C2syton, i�iasouri 63105, has propos�d to construct
s�ixty (6 t�) one (1) and two (2) bedroom units for the �:IderZy and
handicapp�d, a� t�o separate brick ve�neer bui3dings, three �tories
in height, with elevators lacated at 609 South West End 8oulevard,
Ca�e Girardesu, Missouri; and
i7�iEREAS, Cape Gardena, a Lirnf�ed Fartn�rghip has sa�isfied
mll city ordinanc�a pertaining to planning and zoning; t�nd
W�EREAS, the City of Cape Girsrdeau, Missouri, did hald a
public hearing on the rec�u�st €or rezoning with a Sp�eial Use
Permit on March ].5, 1978 for the purpose of hcaring coYmnente on
the reque�ted rezoning and Speci8l Use P�rmit for the purposes of
constructing this projQct as an addition to the City of Cape
Girard�au, Missouri.
NOW, T�REFUR�, BE IT R�SOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY QF
CAPE GIRI�►i2DEAU, MIS54URI, AS FOLLO'�l�:
l. �'hat said gublic hearinq was called with proper notice
to all 3nteteat�d parties in the fo2lowing r�nner:
(A) Al1 property owners within 185 feet of the propo�ed
location were mail�d a formal notice of the hearing.
(�3) Legal notices w�re duly published in the 5outheast
Missourian, a daily net��pape= in the City of Gape
Gir�rdeau, riissourf on February 27 and March 1&
and 13, 1978.
2. That said publ3c hearing was held at City Hall for the
landowner�, residents and citiz�ns withir� th� ares of th� proposed
develo�ment.
3. Th� Cape Girardesu City Council recognize� th� need for
Section 8 Aent�l assistance unit:� within the city and specif3cally
reaognizes th� need for the proposed developn�ent.
4. That said public hearing was presid�d over b}� the Mayor
of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
F3E IT FURTF�:�t F.ESOLVED:
I. That the Cape Girardeau City Caunefl endorse� and
supporta th� proposec3 multifamily dev�lopm�nt of Cape Gardena, a
Ltmited Partnership.
2. That the Missouri Fiou�inq Development Commission be
encouraged to act �wifly and favorably on the request of Cape
Gardens, a Limited P�rtnership, for final approval.
