THROUGH THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLSC SAFETY, PROVIUING FOR STATE
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR ALL OR PART �F OPERATIONAL COSTS FOR
REGSONAL CRIME LABORATORIES IN THE STATE OF MISSOURI
WHEREAS, Southeast Missouri Regional Crime Laboratory has
served the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and surrounding
communities with valuabl� h�lp and resourc�s; and
WHEREAS, the said Crime La�boratory must now rely on Federal
grants and voluntary contributions for financial support; and
WHEREAS, 3enate I3i11 202 was passecT by the Misgouri Senate
on January 3i, 1979, which estabiishes the Missouri Crime Laboratori�s
A��istance Program through the Department of Public Safety; and
WHEREAS, Senate Bill 242 provides for State fin�ncial assistance
for all ar part of operating costs for crime laboratories in the
State of Missouri;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAPE GSRARDEAU, MIS30URI, AS FOLLOWSs
That the City Council of the City af Cape Girardeau, Missou=i,
fully support� the passage of Seaate BilZ 202 which will provid�
furth�r financial support to crime laboratorie� in the 5tate of
Missouri and especially Southeast Miasouri Regional Crime laboratory
which renders assistance to the citizens of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri and the surrounding area.
