A RESOLUTION IN RECCGNITION AND IN APPR.E;CIATION OF THE SERVICE
OF PAIJL W. STEHR AS MAYOR, MAYOR PRO-ZEM, AND COUNCILMAN OF THE
CITY OF CAYE GIRP.RDEAU, MISSOURI .
WHEREAS, Paul W. Stehr• was elected in April, 1972, as a
member� cf' the City Council under Council-Manager form of
government in the City of Cape GirG.rdeau, Missouri, and
WfIEREAS, Mr. Stehr• was re-elected in 1975 and again in
1978 to two additional three-year terms on tre City Council;
and,
WF�EREAS, he served tr�e City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri,
as its mayor from April , 1978, to April, 1981, a_fter holding
the office of Mayor Pro-Tem f'rom January, 1977, to April, 1978;
and,
W��EREAS, Mr. Stehr devcted a considerable and extensive
amount of his time and efforts to duties of the City of Cape
Girardeau, which encompassed serving as interim City� Mana�er•
for the mor.t.h of March, 1981; and,
WHER.EAS, the Cit3zens of this City have continued to
express their confidence jn his capabilities by re-electing
him tc second and third te�rms; and,
WHEREAS, Mr•. Stehr has served over the past nine years
with distinction, ronor and excellence, rendering invaluable
service to the Citizens of Cape Giraroeau; and,
WHEREAS, tre leadership and de�ication to service of
Mr. Stehr have adva.r�ced the success of Municipal c;overnment
in Cape Girardeau;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE I7' RESOLVED BY THE COUI�CIL OF THE CITY
OF C��PE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
That on behalf of the Citizens of Cape Girardeau, the
Council rereby publicly expresses to
PAUL W. STEHR
ITS DEEYEST GRATITUDE AND APPRECIATION FOR THE
OUTSTANDING CCNTRIB[1TION TO COMNL�NITY SERVICF
MADE �Y HIM DURING HIS TENiJFE AS MAYOR, MAYOR
PF�O-TEM ANll AS COi1NCIL.NAN OF THE CITY OI�' CAPE

and wishes him well in his future endeavcr•s .
