C�PE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI
WHEREAS, there is a road now knvwn as Old Jackson Road in
the Northwestern portion of the City of Cape Girardeau, �issouri;
and
WHEREAS, said road is the entrance to County Far� Park from
�dorth Ringshighway; and
WHER�::AS, a request has been made to change the name of this
road to County Park Drive; ana
WHEREAS, this new name will be a more descriptive and logical
name for said road;
I10W, THEREFORE, nE IT RESI�LVED BY THE COUNCII, �F THE CITY OF
CAPE GIRARI7EAU, MTSSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
1. �'hat it is necessary to change the name of Old Jackson
Road which is a road in the City of Cape Girardeau, 1�lissouri, to
County Park Drive because such change of name will provide for a
more c3escri�tive and loyical naminc�s aF streets.
2. This Resolution is hereby orc�ered to be pub].ished one
(1) w�ek in a newspaper of the City of Cape Girardeau, P�is�ouri,
so that the resident pro�erty owners alor,g the line of such road
and other citi�ens of the City wi11 have notice caf this name
change and an opportunity to fil� a written ��rote�t with the City
Clerk. Saf.d written protest must be filed within four (4) weeks
after the last d�te of the publication of this �e�olutivn. If no
written protegt is filed within this period, the City Council
will have the pow�r by Ordinance to change the name of 01d Jackson
Road to County Park Drive.
