A RESOLUTION DECLARING IT NECESSARY TO IMPROVE
THAT PART OF LOMBARDO DRIVE, FROM A POINT 25. 8
FEET EAST OF LANDGRAF DRIV�, EASTERLY 760 FEET
TO THE CENTER OF CLARK AVENUE, IN THE CITY OF
CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
That the Council of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri ,
deems and declares hereby that a public necessity exists for
the improvement of Lombardo Drive, from a point 25 . 8 feet East
of Landgraf Drive, Easterly 760 feet to the center of Clark
Avenue, by grading to the established grade and constructing
thereof a Portland Cement Concrete Pavement, 6 inches thick and
30 feet in width between the back of 6 inch Portland Cement
Concrete integral curbs and gutters, except at the various
intersection streets, where the pavement shall be constructed
as shown on the plans, together with necessary pipe and inlets
for the removal of storm water, all as shown on the plans for
said improvement.
That said imp�ovement of Lombardo Drive shall be done in
accordance with the plans and specifications and estimate of
cost for said improvement prepared by the City Engineer, filed
with the City Clerk, approved and adopted by the City Council,
and now on file in the Office of the City Clerk , and in
accordance with Chapter 8$, Revised Statutes of Missouri, and
all ordinances which may be enacted governing the construction
of this particular improvement.
That the proposed work shall be done by contract, as
provided by law and ordinance and upon completion of the
project, one-half of the cost of the proposed work , not to
exceed $23. 02 per front foot shall be charged to the abutting
property for the issuance of special tax bills and only $23 . 02
per front foot shall be charged against the abutting property,
all in accordance with Chapter 88, RSMo and such ordinances as
may be hereafter enacted to carry out said work.
That the City Clerk is hereby instructed to publish this
Resolution in seven ( 7) consecutive issues of the Cape
Girardeau Southeast Missourian, a daily newspaper printed and
published in the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri . Anyone
desiring to do so may appear before the City Council at 7: 30
P. M. , Wednesday, October 17, 1984 and be heard on the question
of the necessity of the work sought to be done.
