A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER ON
BEHALF OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI,
TO JOIN WITH SOUTHEAST MISSOURI STATE UNIVERSITY
IN ENTERING INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE ARCHITECTURAL
FIRM OF HASTINGS & CHIVETTA ARCHITECTS, INC. OF
ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MISSOURI, FOR THE ARCHITECTURAL
AND ENGINEERING WORK FOR THE UNIVERSITY/CITY
MULTI-USE CENTER
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager on behalf of the City of Cape
Girardeau, Missouri is hereby authorized to join with Southeast
Missouri State University in entering into a contract with the
architectural firm of Hastings & Chivetta Architects, Inc. of St.
Louis County, Missouri for the �rchitectural and engineering work
for the University/City Multi-Use Center.
SECTION 2. The contract shall provide that Hastings and
Chivetta Architects, Inc. will provide architectural, structural,
mechanical and electrical design services for a. facility of
approximately 110, 000 square feet, with a seating capacity of
7,000 to 10,000 seats. Hastings and Chivetta will also provide
civil, fire protective and acoustical design services under the
contract as well as the design work for furnishings, graphics,
landscaping and signage. The Architects compensation shall be a
fixed fee of Six Hundred Ninety Thousand Two Hundred Fifty Dollars
($690,250. 00) .
