A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH C. A. JUDEN,
JR. FOR THE USE OF PROPERTY AS A FIRING RANGE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 . The City Manager on behalf of the City of Cape
Girardeau, Missouri , is hereby authorized to enter into an
aqreement in substantially the same form as herein presented with
C. A. Juden, Jr . , for the use of his property as a firing range by
the Cape Girardeau Police Department. A copy of this agreement is
attached to this resolution and made a part hereof .

AGREEMENT
This Agreement, made and entered into this �� day
of (�C Qfi �1� , 1986 , by and between the City of Cape
Girardeau, Missouri , a municipal corporation, hereinafter referred
to as "City" , and C. A. Juden, Jr . , hereinafter referre� to as
"C�wner" , is as follows :
l . For and in consideration of the terms, conditions and
covenants of this Agreement to be performed by City and Owner ,
Owner hereby agrees to allow the use of his property, located 1 . 2
miles �dest of Interstate 55 on Highway 74 , as herein described:
Township 30 North, Range 13 East, a pa.rt of
Survey 787 , North of Highway 74 , County of
Cape Girardeau, State of Missouri
as a firing range by and for the benefit of the Cape Girardeau
Police Department .
2 . For and in consideration of the terms, conditions and
covenants of this Agreement to be performed by City and Owner ,
City hereby agrees to do as follows:
a . The City shall be responsible for mowing, and the
expenses of mowing, said property;
b. The City shall provide adequate liability insurance
covering the use of said property as a firing range in accordance
with the terms of the laws of the State of i�lissouri ;
c. The City Agrees that its use of said property as a
firing range will be limited to events organized by the City's
Police Department, such as supervised firearms qualifications;
d. The City further agrees that its use of said
property will not include the hunting of game.
e. The City may, at its own expense, install and
maintain any reasonable and proper means of ingress and egress to
and from the above-described property and may make any provision
for reasonable and adequate parking facilities as it may determine
necessary.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri , has
caused this agreement to be signed by its City Manager and
attested by its City Clerk , with the corporate seal of the City,
and C. A. Juden, Jr , has hereto affixed his name the day and year
first above written.
