RESOI�UTION AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC SALE OF
$1 ,400 , 000 PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF SEWERAGE
SYSTEM REVENUE BONDS, SERIES 198G , OF THE
CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 . The City of Cape Girardeau , Missouri , is hereby
authorized to offer at competitive public sale with sealed bids
$1 , 400 ,000 principal amount of Sewerage System Revenue Bonds,
Series 1986 , of the City, as described in the rlotice of Bond
Sale attached hereto as Exhibit "A" .
Section 2 . The Finance Director is hereby authorized and
directed to receive sealed bids for the purchase of said Bonds
on behalf of the City Council at the City Hall in the City of
Cape Girardeau , Missouri , on Wednesday, February 5 , 1986 , until
11 : 00 A. M. , Central Time, upon the terms and conditions set
� forth in the Notice of Bond Sale, and to deliver all bids so
received to the City Council at its meeting to be held at 7 : 30
P. M. on said date , at which meeting the City Council shall
review such bids and shall award the sale of the Bonds or
reject all bids .
Section 3 . The Notice of Bond Sale is hereby approved in
substantially the form attached hereto as Exhibit "A" , and the
Finance Director is hereby authorized to execute such Notice of
Bond Sale, with such changes thereto as such official shall
deem appropriate , and the appropriate officers and
representatives are hereby authorized to use such Notice of
Bond Sale in connection with the public sale of said Bonds .
Section 4 . The Preliminary Official Statement, dated
January 24 , 1986 , relating to the Bonds is her.eby approved in
substantially the form attached hereto as Exhibit "B" , and the
appropriate of.ficers and representatives of the City are hereby
authorized to use such Preliminary Official Statement in
connection with the sale of the Bonds
Section 5 . The Finance Director is hereby authorized and
directed to give notice of said bond sale by publishing the
Notice of_ Bond Sale in a newspaper having general circulation
in the City, and to cause the mailing of copies of the Notice
of Bond Sale and Preliminary Official Statement to investment
banking firms and banks with municipal bond departments located
�` in the State of Missouri and elsewhere which might be
interested in the purchase of said Bonds .
� Section 6 . The Finance Director and the other officers and
representatives of the City are hereby authorized and directed
to take such other action as may be necessary to carry out the
public sale of said Bonds .
Section 7 . This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption by the City Council .
