A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE A RELEASE OF LIEN FOR THE COMMUNITY
BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Cape Girardeau previously entered into an
Agreement dated June 23 , 1988 , with Gail F. Collins and Lela M.
Collins , for the grant of funds to make repairs to their residence
at 1448 North Water Street , Lot 6 , Block 8 , Red Star Addition in
the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri , all pursuant to the Community
Block Grant Program; and
WHEREAS , that grant agreement was recorded in the land records
of Cape Girardeau County at Book 483 at Page 990 and has now been
superceded by a new grant agreement dated November 22 , 1988 , and
recorded in Book 493 at Page 233 ef the land records; and
WHEREAS , it is the desire of the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri , to release the first lien created by the agreement dated
June 23 , 1988 .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 . The City Manager is authorized to execute a Release
of Lien and to cause said Release to be recorded in the land
records of Cape Girardeau County, Missouri , so that the above
described property may be free of any lien or claim by the City of
Cape Girardeau, Missouri , by reason of the Agreement dated June 23 ,
1988 , and recorded in Book 483 at Paqe 990 of the land records of
Cape Girardeau County, P�issouri .
