A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE JOINT VETERANS
COUNCIL TO PLACE A FLAG MEMORAL AT THE ENTRANCES
OF FAIRMONT AND LORIMIER CEMETERIES ANNUALLY ON
MEMORIAL DAY
WHEREAS , Veterans of the United States Armed Forces have
honorably served their country and this community during times of
war and peace ; and
WHEREAS, these Veterans should be so honored; and
ti7HEREAS, in past years the Joint Veterans Council has placed a
memorial flag on each grave of these Veterans on Memorial Day; and
WHEREAS, the Joint Vet2rans Council now desires to replace
this custom by placing a flag memorial at the entrances of
Fairmont and and Lorimier Cemeteries annually on Memorial Day .
N0�', THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS :
The Joint Veterans Council is hereby authorized to place a
flag memorial at the entrances of Fairmont and Lorimier Cemeteries
annually on Memorial Dav .
