A RESOLUTION DECLARING IT NECESSARY TO MAKE
CERTAIN SEWER IMPROVEMENTS IN LATERAL SEWER
DISTRICT N0. 14-1-D-2
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS :
ARTICLE 1 . The City Council of the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri , hereby declares that a public necessity exists for
making certain sewer improvements in Lateral Sewer District No.
14-1-D-2 including the construction of a sanitary sewer eight ( 8 )
inches in diameter along with manholes, wyes, pavement restoration
and other necessary appurtenances to serve Lateral Sewer District
No. 14-1-D-2 . It is the intention of the City Council to have
this project done by contract and to tax bill the property owners
in Lateral Sewer District No. 14-1-D-2 in an amount not to exceed
$0 . 2570 per square foot in accordance with applicable law.
ARTICLE 2 . The City Manager is hereby directed to file with
the City Clerk for public inspection the following :
A. The plans and specifications for the project .
B . An estimate of the total cost of the project , including
construction, construction contingency and fees and other
expenses .
C. An estimate of the portion of the total cost to be
assessed against each property to be benefitted by the
project .
ARTICLE 3 . A public hearing will be held before the City
Council at 7 : 30 P .M. on Monday, December 19 , 1990, at City Hall ,
401 Independence, Cape Girardeau, Missouri at which citizens and
all interested parties may express their assent or objection to
the project .
ARTICLE 4 . The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
notice for seven ( 7 ) consecutive insertions in a daily paper that
the items set forth in Article 2 have been filed with the City
Clerk for public inspection and that a public hearing will be held
at the time and place and for the purpose stated in Article 3 .
