A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ENTER INTO A LETTER AGREEMENT WITH
SEBEK/ALBERSON FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR
THE SHAWNEE SPORTS COMPLEX AND THE COMMUNITY
CENTER BUILDING
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1 . The City Manager, for and on behalf of the City of
Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby authorized to enter into a
letter agreement with Sebek/Alberson for professional services for
the Shawnee Sports Complex and the Community Center Building in an
amount not to exceed Sixteen Thousand Three Hundred Dollars
($16, 300 . 00) .

RE: Improvements to Osage and Shawnee Parks, Phase I
City of Cape Girardeau
Dear Kensey:
This letter is to confirm our previous verbal agreement
regarding our proposal to furnish professional services for
the initial Phase I improvements to Osage and Shawnee Parks.
Our services for Phase I will consist of providing
topographic site and final grading plans for each park' s
developed area, cost estimates, and bid documents for a
grading contract. Services under Phase I will also include
revising the preliminary designs of the parks ' developed
areas as required by the final grading plans.
The fees for the services outlined above for Phase I will be
a not-to-exceed lump sum of $16,270.00. This amount is based
on a pass-through cost of $12,400.00 for engineering
consultant fees of S.H. Smith and Company, and a not-to-
exceed estimate of $3, 870.00 for architectural fees. These
fees reflect an estimate of 86 hours at $45 .00/hour for
architectural services. We will bill the city monthly for
services and reimbursable expenses.
If tnis proposal satisfactorily sets forth your understanding
of our agreement for the scope of services for Phase I,
please sign the enclosed copy of this letter and return it to
us. We would expect to start work on the project promptly
after receipt of your acceptance of this proposal.
