A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ENTER INTO AN ADDENDUM TO A PROFESSIONAL
SERVICES AGREEMENT DATED MARCH 27 , 1991 WITH
SMITH AND COMPANY FOR THE WALKER BRANCH BRIDGE
REPLACEMENTS
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1. The City Manager, for and on behalf of the City of
Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby authorized to enter into an
Addendum to a Professional Services Agreement dated March 27, 1991
with Smith and Company for the Walker Branch Bridge Replacements.
A copy of said Addendum is attached to this Resolution and made a
part hereof.

ADDENDUM
TO
AGREEMENT BETWEEN OWNER AND ENGINEER
FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
DATED MARCH 27, 1991
1. This addendum, made on J�.�N'�%ir��='-`. ��;: , 1992 , is attached to and
made a part of the Agreement between Owner and Engineer for
Professional Services made on March 27, 1991, between the City of
Cape Girardeau, Missouri (OWNER) and Smith and Company
(ENGINEER) . The Basic Engineering Services and Other Services
and compensation for those services, are amended or supplemented
as indicated below.
2 . The following sentences shall be added to the second paragraph of
Section A - Basic Services of Engineer:
"The project shall also include design for expansion of the
existing box culvert in Walker Branch at Independence Street.
The culvert design shall be for HS-20 loading and for AASHTO
seismic requirements. The culvert expansion shall be designed to
carry full street, existing traffic lanes, or designated widths
and shall be coordinated with Corps of Engineers and Missouri
Highway and Transportation Department requirements. "
3 . The second paragraph of Section E - Time for Performance, shall
be modified to read as follows:
"The final completion date for all of the Design phase shall be
December 15, 1992 . "
4 . The first paragraph of Section F - Compensation for Engineering
Services, shall be modified to read as follows:
"The OWNER shall compensate the ENGINEER for basic engineering
services listed in Section A. If three, or less, separate prime
contracts are awarded for construction, materials, and equipment
for the Project, the total amount of said compensation shall be a
lump sum fee of $94, 800. 00.
5. Exhibit A to the Agreement shall be replaced in its entirety with
the attached revision to Exhibit A.
