A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE MAY GREENE GARDEN
AS A CITY PARK
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS :
ARTICLE 1. The City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, hereby
agrees to accept the May Greene Garden, located on North Fountain
Street in Cape Girardeau, as a City Park. The City Council agrees
to provide assistance to the May Greene Garden Association by
mowing the site and providing assistance from time to time to the
May Greene Garden Association to maintain the site in appropriate
condition.
ARTICLE 2 . The City Council recognizes that this assumption
of the May Greene Garden as a City Park is subject to a revocable
license issued by the United States Government to the May Greene
Garden Association and is further subject to the conditions set
forth in said license.
ARTICLE 3 . A copy of this Resolution shall be directed to the
May Greene Garden Association and to the General Services
Administration, Region 6 , 1500 East Bannister Road, Kansas City,
Missouri 64131-3088 , in order to provide appropriate notice to the
United States Government that the City of Cape Girardeau has agreed
to provide such services relative to the May Greene Garden.
ARTICLE 4 . The City Council recognizes that the City's rights
pursuant to such license agreement are revocable by the United
States Government and the City further reserves the right to set
aside this Resolution at such time as it may deem necessary or
appropriate.
