A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A
RESCUE-PUMPER VEHICLE FOR THE CAPE GIRARDEAU
FIRE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, The City Council recently entered into an Agreement
for the Fire Department to provide heavy rescue services throughout
Cape Girardeau County over the next ten (10) years; and
WHEREAS, as part of this Agreement, the City will receive
funds from Cape Girardeau County and the City of Jackson, Missouri,
toward the purchase of a new heavy rescue vehicle; and
WHEREAS, fire apparatus purchases require nine months or more
of lead time from the date ordered until the equipment is received;
and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department desires to order a rescue-pumper
vehicle now in order to have the vehicle delivered approximately
August of 1995.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1. The Cape Girardeau Fire Department is hereby
authorized and directed to proceed with the steps necessary to
purchase of a rescue-pumper vehicle.
