A RESOLUTION ADOPTING AN ORDER OF THE CAPE
GIRARDEAU CITY COUNCIL PERTAINING TO PROPOSED
CABLE TELEVISION RATE INCREASES FOR BASIC TIER
SERVICES
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1. The Mayor, for and on behalf of the City of Cape
Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby authorized to execute An Order of
the Cape Girardeau City Council Pertaining to Cable Television
Proposed Rate Increase for Basic Tier Service. A copy of said
Order is attached to this Resolution and made a part hereof.

AN ORDER OF Z'HE CAPE GIItARI)EAU CITY
COUNCIL PERTAINING TO CABLE
TELEVISION PROPOSED RATE INCREASE FOR
BASIC TIER SERVICE
WHEREAS, the City's cable television operator has on
September 2, 1994 , submitted for review its proposed rate increase
for the basic service tier; and
WHEREAS, the City needs additional time to review the proposed
rates; and
WHEREAS, the cable operator has submitted a Cost of Service
Showing seeking to justify a rate above the Commission's Basic
Service Tier Charge; and
WHEREAS, the City is unable to determine based on materials
submitted by the cable operator that the proposed rate conforms to
Commission Regulations and Rulings.
IT IS NOW ORDERED BY THE CAPE GIRARDEAU CITY COUNCIL that the
time for responding to the cable operator's request for rate
increase is tolled for one hundred fifty (150) days to allow the
City to request and consider additional information and to consider
comments from interested parties.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that City Staff direct a Petition to the
Federal Communications Commission seeking Commission assistance in
examination of the cable operator's cost of service showing
submitted by the cable operator as justification for its proposed
rate increase.
