A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS
COMMISSION RULES FOR THE REGULATION OF BASIC
TIER CABLE TELEVISION RATES
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1. For the purpose of exercising its right to
regulate basic tier cable television rates pursuant to the 1992
Cable Act, adopted by the United States Congress and pursuant to
the requirements of the regulations of the Federal Communications
Commission that the City adopt rate regulations consistent with the
Commission's regulations; and in order to govern the basic tier
cable television rates, the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, does
hereby adopt and approve such portions of Section 76 of the Federal
Communications Commission's Regulations as pertain to the
regulation of basic tier cable television rates and the City does
hereby incorporate and adopt by reference those portions of Section
76 which provide for the manner in which such basic tier cable
television rates are to be regulated.
