A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, STATING INTENT TO SEEK FUNDING FOR
THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT THROUGH THE U.
S. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION UNDER
THE TITLE IX SPECIAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND
ADJUSTMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM, AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO PURSUE ACTIVITIES IN AN
ATTEMPT TO SECURE FUNDING
WHEREAS, Title IX of the Special Economic Development and
Adjustment Assistance Program provides matching funds for economic
development projects, and;
WHEREAS, the City of Cape Girardeau does have the need to
elevate an access road into and provide an emergency power supply
for its wastewater treatment plant which may be addressed through
this program of the U. S. Economic Development Administration.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri, that the City desires to participate with the U.S.
Economic Development Administration in plans and activities for the
economic development of the community under the activities
authorized pursuant to Title IX.
THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager of the
City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby authorized to prepare
and submit documents which are necessary in applying for funding
and establishing an administrative organization to implement
activities under the aforementioned program.
