A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
CONCERNING 49 UNITED STATES CODE SECTION 5311
TRANSIT FUNDING ALLOCATION WITH SOUTHEAST
MISSOURI STATE UNIVERSITY
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1. The City Manager, for and on behalf of the City of
Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby authorized to execute a
Memorandum of Understanding Concerning 49 United States Code
Section 5311 Transit Funding Allocation with Southeast Missouri
State University. A copy of said memorandum is attached to this
Resolution and made a part hereof.

MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING CONCERNING
49 U.S.C. SECTION 5311
TRANSIT FUNDING ALLOCATION
The purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding is to set
forth in writing the intent of the parties signed below
representing the City of Cape Girardeau and Southeast Missouri
State University relative to the planned use of 49 U. S.C. Section
5311 Transit Funding available to the City from the Missouri
Department of Transportation. The allocation of funds available to
the City of Cape Girardeau for the fiscal year beginning July l,
1996, and ending June 30, 1997, total $149, 993 . The City of Cape
Girardeau proposes to utilize $ of this allocation for
its community-wide taxi coupon program. Southeast Missouri State
University proposes to use the remainder ($ ) for a
shuttle service immediately in and around the environs of the
Southeast Missouri State University campus. All regulatory
requirements of the federal and state governments relative to the
use of these funds will be met by both parties in the conduct of
their respective programs.
