A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE MAXIMUM ANNUAL
ASSESSMENT POLICY FOR TRANSPORTATION TRUST
FUND PROJECTS FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 1998
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1. The maximum annual assessments for Transportation
Trust Fund Street projects for the calendar year 1998, shall be as
follows:
1. Residential Street Widening: Cost of the widening,
including engineering, inspection, and legal costs:
Thirty-Five Dollars ($35 . 00) per front foot plus any
right-of-way or easements purchased. If all right-of-way
and easements are donated, no tax bill will be assessed.
2 . Residential Streets - New: Cost of a thirty (30) foot
wide pavement with rock base: Twenty-Five Dollars
($25 . 00) .
3 . Residential/Commercial Streets - widening: Cost of
widening, including engineering, inspection and legal
costs, plus associated stormwater work: Forty-Six
Dollars ($46. 00) per front foot plus the cost of land
acquisition. If all right-of-way and easements are
donated, no tax bill will be assessed.
4 . Widening Commercial Streets: The full cost of the
project: Sixty-Seven Dollars ($67 . 00) per front foot
plus the cost of land acquisition.
5. New Commercial Streets: Assess a forty (40) foot
pavement width and rock base: Fifty-Six Dollars ($56. 00)
per front foot and all acquisition costs. If parties
want the street wider, then the additional cost is borne
by the adjoining property owners.
