AN ORDINANCE REPEALIIVG SECTION 3 of Commission Form
Ordinance No. 1244 AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NE�N
S�CTI�N SETTING A NE�1 DATE FOR RECEIVING BIDS FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF STORM AND SAIVITARY LATERAL SE�'VERS.
WHEREAS� Commission Form Ordinance No. 1244 passed and ap-
proved by the City Council on the lst day of I4d�ay 1950, provided
in Section 3 the��eof that bids for the construction of lateral
se�vers in Sewer District No. 2-B a part of Sewer District No. 2,
would be received �ap to 2:30 o 'c�ock P. TVi. � on Tuesday� the 16th
day of ll�ay� 1950� and�
4°JHEREAS� on said 16th day of May� 1950. all bids submitted
exceeded the engineer 's estimate of cost for said s�r�er system,
and for that reason ?vere re�ected by said City Council� and�
WHEREAS� the City Council of the City of Cape Girardeau feels
that for the health� safety and v�elfare of the people of said City
said seruers should be constructed and that a new date should be
set for the receiving o£ bids � NOW THEREFOR�

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF T�-IE CITY OF CaPL� GIRARDEAII�
MISSOURI� AS FOLLO�dVS:
SECTION 1. That Section 3 of Com1nission Form Ordinance No. I244�
passed and approved by the City �oizncil of the City of Cape Gira.r-
deau on May l, 1950� be and the same is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. That in lieu of "Section 3" described in Section trl�r
abov� there shall be and is he�eby enacted a neev "$ection 3" to be
inserted in place of Section 3 of Commission Form Qrdinance No. 1244,
which is as follows : �
"SECTION 3" . That following the provisions as set out is said
Commission Form Ordinance No. 1114, bids shall be received by
the City Clerk, for said work of constructing said la+eral
sewers , in Sewer District No. 2-B, a part of Sewer District
No. 2� up to 2:30 o'clock P. M. , on June 12� 1�5p."
SECTION 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
with the provisions of this ordinance a.re hereby repealed.
