WHEREAS, Commission Form Ordinance No. 1257, "An Ordinance Repealing Commission Form Ordinances No. 490, 700, 701, $81, 949, and 1112, and enacting in lieu thereof an Ordinance relating to the control, manufacture, brewing, sale and possession of intoxi- cating liquor, defining intoxicating liquor, fixing license fees to be paid by persons engaged in the manufacture, brewing, sale of intoxicating liquor and fixing a penalty therefor.!''ae'as passed and approved by the City Council of the City of Cape Girardeau, Kissouri, on the 13th day of June, 1950, after an opinion of the Attorney General of the State of Missouri that the effective date upon which liquor by the drink could be served in cities with a population over 20,000 persons could be had upon notification to the Mayor of said City by the District Supervisor of the Bureau of Census of the population of said City; and ;,_HE,HEAS on the let day of June, 1950, 50 the District ric Super- visor advised the .'Mayor of said City that the population of Cane Girardeau, wissouri, exceeded 20,000 persons; and WHEREAS, on the 23rd day of June, 1950, the Attorney general in view of Senate Revision Bill No. 1001, advised that those Sections of the statute authorizing liquor by the drink in cities over 20,000 population and an increase in license fees,ivould not be effective until January 1, 1951. PdOu?, TnE'REFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, as follov;s: Section 1. That Commission Form Ordinance No. 1257, passed and approved by the City Council or. the 13th day of June, 1950, be and the same is hereby repealed. Section 2. That Commission Form Ordinance No. 700, passed and approved by the City Council of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, on the 2nd day of 11 — 1935, be and the same is hereby re-enacted in its entirety. Section 3. That Commission Form Ordinance Tdo. 701, passed and approved by the City Council of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri on the lith da 5 r of July, 1935, and construingCommission Form Ordinance NO. 7001 be and the same is hereby re-enacted in its entirety. Section L,. That Commission Form Ordinance No. 9L9, passed and ap_roved by the City Council of the City of Cape Girardeau, P•'iissouri, on the 18th day of May, 1942, be and the same is hereby re-enacted in its entirety. Section 5. That Commission Form Ordinance Pio. 1112, passed and approved be, the City Council of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, on the 23rd day of June, 1947, and amending Section 3 of Commission Foran Ordinance No. 700, be and the same is hereby re- enacted in its entirety.
